First i bought the thinnest wood planks i could find in Home Depot, 2nd. Construction adhesive , then Nails.. 1st..glued the woods on ,then nailed in ... After that Stained the wood Early American color from MinWax, Take a old rag and soak in stain, then wipe on all over ...right after the stain is on, take a small brush, like in the photos, nothing special $1.50 brush.. make quick strokes back and fourth, before paint and stain drys i get the sander out and start sanding.... then finished..

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love your bathroom now, Tausha...even more than before! :) Love the planking, the color, the torn wallpaper, the decor. Right out of the pages of a RA book. You are amazing! ♥ Do you have a link to that sweet wallpaper?? I kept looking at your new wall and wondering where I could put one in my house. I think I know the perfect place. So...thank you once again for your inspiration. ♥

thanks for sharing - can't wait to try this ;-)
I am hoping to move to a cottage type home and am inspired by your wall. A couple quick questions--so you stained the wood first?? then brush stroked the paint on?? Just lightly put paint on? I would love to do this on an entry wall !
Thank you so much for sharing! I love your style and a version of that wall is on my to do list!
