Oh my! I hadn't seen those gorgeous chair covers. What a beautiful print. Love those pocket doors too. So practical. Your rooms are so fun!
I love those moods, where all the books and magazine come out and lay open for inspiration.
it is getting harder and harder to go to a magazine or a book but Rachels are always a classic go to.

I was digging through all my book, for pictures and Inspiration... but honestly RA are the only books that i Love..and find to be the most Inspiring For ME!! But in a way having them open and looking they way they do....they are Artwork themself
Your style is so comfortable and charming, sweet and endearing.

Michele

I LOVE your dream catchers! and your little slipcovered chair is adorable. You home looks like a wonderful place to get inspired and be creative! Everything is so pretty, ... and what a sweet hubby to bring you lavender roses....
Cindy
You go to books and magazines for inspiration and I come here to your blog for mine! xo Diana
My first visit to your beautiful blog, and I'm loving it here. I absolutely love all the muted pinks, and blues with the white. Such pretty flowers everywhere!
I love everything as well! Before you started on this journey did you purge a lot of your stuff? Did you ever like bolder colors? I am interested in how your style evolved.
Please put me down for a dream catcher as well!
Lani
Oh Tausha,
What is your recipe for making that purple/lavender color with ritz dyes? I want to recreate that palette.
Thank you
Lani
oh this is all so beautiful. Could I please be #3 in line if you sell dream catchers? They are wonderful! so elegant.
love everything!
I have to tell you after coming to your blog I have purchased so much of the RA at Target! I have the pretty pink roses comforter set now and then when I saw your lavender set, I started trembling (lol) and ran to my target to get that too! I get in so much trouble coming here, but fun trouble! {you should get some kind of commission for RA ! ) no kidding! you have sold me so many times!
Sandy
Hi Tausha,
It all just looks so beutiful.. your home is your inspiration!! In the summer I love more pastel colour around the room so its more shabby chic but I have to be carefull with colour fabrics and decoration because I have a little livingroom and otherwise it would look to crowdy but in your space and with your touches..simply GORGEOUS!!
Big kiss,
Rozmeen
That room is just devine. I love the inspirations. Where did you get that chair cover? LOVE IT!
Wow! You just have it!! I see RA but I also see you in there. So nice to see you and that cute hubby of yours, you guys make such a sweet pair!! You just might have to start selling those dream catchers!!
They are beautiful!!

To Lani.... I have always loved the color Blue!! Pale blues, more beachy style..So even in the Shabby Style Blues are still my love, I just love the Prairie look that Ra HAS going on....so to have all one look in one home....until one day i Build a barn!!!!!!lol i have plenty of room for more.
For the Beautiful Color of Purples....I use Rit Dye Color Wine....and Color Denmin blue I mix a little at a time and just makes beautiful colors.. Bleach for over dying too
Thank you so much Everyone for your Lovely Comments!!!! I really Appreciate everyone...
I simply love your dreamcatchers - did you just wing it or eyeball everything - is it possible to get a step by step tutorial? I'd be so grateful!
I actually learned from utube ...there are plenty on there... mow i have the center part really good...but i order one from a store for $100...... then i just went by what i see, as far as the fabrics, shabby chic ..
Un blog qui me plait beaucoup... Je reviendrai vous visiter très prochainement.
Gros bisous
Loved the pics, I absolutely love the pics where you have several dreamcathcers hanging by couch and off the chippy pink hook. I think rachel should put you in her next book..I really do
Sherry
Thank you - I shall youtube then; I have many fabrics.
I sure hope they'll turn out as good as yours. If you sold yours I'd join the long line to buy one too...I have a feeling you won't be able to make them as fast as people will buy them : )
Do you realize, Tausha, that once I fell in love with your style...I can't WAIT to check each day to see if you've posted something new...??? lol! I can't stop staring at your photos; then find myself gazing around my room trying to mimic what you've done! I'm just loving the introduction of creamy white ruffles and pastel florals. Thank you thank you thank you for being such an inspiration (and help) to me, sweetie! :)
xoxo laurie
Tausha...everything looks beautiful! Love your home! I have a question to ask you about dyeing fabric....I have a vintage pink prom dress that has some graying on it and nothing will take it out...it is made out of tulle, satin and organza. Can you give me some help? Will these fabrics take dye? I'd sure appreciate your help! My good friend Jo from Vintage Rose Collection told me to contact you about it. My email is stacy@stacysshabbyshoppe.com. I'd love to hear your thoughts!! Thank you! xo
Aqua is my favorite color that and pink but every once in a while I like red! The problem is I find I tire of red but never i never tire of my shabby chic palette. I love the new smoky colors RA is doing like that lavender velvet chair! But I am afraid I might tire of that too! White is a new thing for me and I LOVE it!
Thanks you for your dye recipe..I am going to try it.
One more thing can you direct me to the right type of fabric to buy to make a slipcover? Do you have a online source for a good but durable linen? I have 3 kids so it has to be durable!
Thank you so much Tausha..like all of your commentors you are a inspiration to us! Please post more! Hah
Lani
To Lani. I do not for linen....i do you Joannes sells a 10 yard pack of Muslin Fabric which is really beautiful white or creams...and i heard is very durable... RA even uses that type of material... Pretty soon, i will be recovering my white sofa in the living with new fabric, and i may go with that...it currently had Canvas, duck material, to ruff for me even though looks nice, i do not like the feel... and very hard to put back on... Always make the slipcover larger than the sofa measurements... I recovered my chair with Linen Simply Shabby Chic Fabric, and love it...had to cut up the duvet and use that....but its perfect!!! i will soon be in the search for New slipcover material too, i will let you know if i come up with anything... Probably 50% Linen and 50% Cotton... would be perfect ...who knows, not sure....GOOD LUCK!!!
Thank you to everyone!!!!!
About dying the Vintage prom Dresses, it can be done....the white one i have hanging in my living ....was dingy white when i bough it, i dyed it pale blue, then bleached it back to white, Came out Perfectly... All done in the sink........... Fill up with water and color the gently put the dress to soak, not long, then take out and hang dry...so far i have done this.. but im not afraid to ruin anything....If you are and love it and cannot live without it, i would not do it...lol
Tausha,
I was thinking of doing that too! How many duvets did you need? My chairis similar to yours but I have a large matching ottoman. I was thinking a king and twin could work. Can you post a pic of your chair or email me a pic so I can show my upholster? I am going to look into the muslin...thank you so much! You are so sweet to help me. Maybe your blog name should be simply sweet! Hah
Here is my email if you do not want to have to post.
Lani@lanielizabeth.com
I know I do not like canvas either! I have a taupe chenille right now but I want something lighter with a slipcover. My 3 year jut took a sharpie to it tonight! I think that was a big sign that I need slipcovers made!
Thanks again
Lani
Tausha,
I found this
http://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=3b2c6dfe-2a4c-44cc-8e6e-df42a07fe53d
What do you think? Might need to do a swatch first!
Lani
I just wanted to thank you so much for the tip on bleaching vintage prom dresses. I bleached my white dress with Clorox gel "for laundry" and let it soak for 10 mins, then hung to dry out on the line and it came out spectacular! I have to admit, I was a little scared to try this, but I trust your experience as your frocks always look so clean and beautiful!
Thanks Tausha~
~ Stephanie
