Hi Tausha, I do not have a blog but I have been following you and Rachel Pallas because I too am a shabby girl. I sent you an email via Rachel when you were thinking of stopping your blog, my name is Dru. So happy you decided to stay. You are an inspiration! I am loving your barn looking room it is wonderful. My husband and I own a 70 yr old home and it has a large 20x20 room that for yrs we used as the family, hangout place. Now my kids are grown and we want to turn it into a master suite. Our older daughter came back home to live and we are giving her our master bd. My question to you is, did you use paneling for the walls and what type of wood flooring did you use? If you would rather answer me by email it is luvpink13@yahoo.com. Looking forward to your response. Also do you have a specific wallpaper person you buy your wallpaper, from? Keep posting photos of your new place it is great! Blessings, Dru
Hi Dru, That is so Awesome , a big beautiful master suite... love it.. The paneling is from Lowes, they have several to choose from ...even real wood ones, but that is a lot more money... mine are simple primed white ones...that i painted over.. How we did the floors... we placed 2x4's on the concrete first then plywood on top in sections, all the same size..my future plans were to put wood planks on top of the plywood... but for now just stained the plywood with a whitewash and darker color to just a simple look and kinda turned out nice , so for now i will live with them... Here is the Link to the wallpaperhttp://www.wallpaperwarehouse.com/979-73946.html This is where i buy most of all my Wallpaper from... Great price too... Thanks so much Dru... let me know if i missed anything... Good Luck, would love to see what you do
Hi Tausha, I love this room. I would love for you to elaborate on it and show some more photos of the structure. Was it a garage that you converted? or a new build. Is it to be used like a pool house? It looks really amazing.
I agree with you Tausha...one amazing room is the best!! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new space and have a nice week!
