i 'm trying these pink curtains in my living room, wanted to try something besides white, not sure if i will keep them there ...it's hard for me, i love white on all my windows..lol These pink curtains are Simply Shabby Chic , but i had to add extra length to them and change the color a bit.
Beautiful New teacups, MY FAVORITE !! I purchased from http://www.shabbyfufu.com/ Janet has Beautiful items right now
okay there are 2 photos of my bathroom....i would never had posted them, because I DO NOT LIKE MY BATHROOM....lol Its to New for me, but O well!!! Until i'm able to remodel here they are.. when i get a chance i will put to pedestal sinks with mirrors... this bathroom is so bright hard to take photos too.
Have a Beautiful day everyone, the weather is so Nice here right now, but its cold...lol like 60 something...lol
I think the pink looks good. I have pink Shabby Chic curtains in my living room too!
ReplyDeletei'd love to see how you lengthened the curtains b/c i have similar simply shabby chic curtains that are too short :( they look beautiful in your living room though!
ReplyDeletei bought 3 panels then cut one panel were the ruffles were, and sewed them together, kinda hard to explain ...but on the bottom of them both they have a ruffles
ReplyDeleteI love your thought but I wouldn't keep them... I love your style without all the pink...
ReplyDeletei also bleached them , i wanted a more light pink, than peachy, so i bleached them out a little and dye them a light pink color, which i love them now!!!
ReplyDeleteThe curtains are pretty but I love your living room with the white curtains~ Such a good idea for lengthening them though~ I love your bathroom with the whiteness and beadboard~I think it looks great! lol Funny how we dont like stuff we have huh?! :) Im so glad you posted today I just love all the beauty my friend~ xoxo
ReplyDeleteDid you get RA new Shabby chic couture towels?? So pretty!! xo
ReplyDeleteYea, i think i will keep the White ones , i'm trying to get use to them, and not working...lol
ReplyDeleteWhich ones Rachel?
I like the white better than the pink, too. I love the looks of creamy white curtains flowing in the breeze! Your bathroom is pretty. I like the beadboard and all your special touches. I tore down the mirrors in my old house and hung new ones. That really made a difference!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful like everything else in your home...even your modern bath! My bath is similar and I love it.
ReplyDeleteI could never have so much 'pretties' in my home though...between my husband, 21 yr old son (both in the construction business), and 16 yr old son(football player) I would get alot of whining. ox
Love the ruffle bedding. Can you please tell me where you found it?
ReplyDeleteJust keep them. Pink is always nice.
ReplyDeleteElna
The fleur de lis white towel on your bath? is that simply shabby or shabby chic couture? So pretty! lol I just want to come visit your beautiful home Tausha!lol It would be hard to leave~ I would love those ruffled curtains in a pale greyish blue colour... xo
ReplyDeleteBedding is from Urban outfitters.
ReplyDeleteKerri,You are too funny !! I have boys too, they don't even care what i do..
Maybe i should tear the mirrors down for now, that'a great idea...but i still need pedestal sinks and beautiful light fixture..
or even a pale pale lavender colour..lol, Ok I will stop commenting!! xo
ReplyDeleteThat is them from Target, that one was accidental bleached...lol from my daughter, they are gray really !!!
ReplyDeleteyes the lavender one..love!!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness I thought those were the shabby couture ones..I love it in white~ I really want to turn those pink curtains lavender..do you think its possible with bleach and rit dye? Does target still sell them? xoxo
ReplyDeletelol..
yes as far as i know , you can check online too..
ReplyDeletemaybe you should buy the towels and bleach them...lol
The bedding from Urban Outfitters is that twin size for the cots? Love the pink curtains and your teacups too! :)
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find our clothes racks?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
lol..thanks Tausha!! xoxo :)
ReplyDeleteNo It is a queen size, i always but bigger, because i change my mind all the time..lol
ReplyDeleteThe little white ones i think Target, they were $9 dollars
The mirrors were pretty easy to pull down. You may need an extra pair of hands though. Then you have to paint behind them, because the builder never does! As I said we replaced the mirrors and as long as we were painting, did the lights too. I painted the builder vanities and put on new knobs and that helped a lot. I am lucky too that none of the males in the household cared what I did.
ReplyDeleteThe curtains are very pretty and
ReplyDeleteI was thinking how pretty your
bath is also, but I understand about wanting it to look old.
Everything is beautiful!

Oh yay! It's lovely logging in for the first time today & seeing your updated blog post on my sidebar!!! It's always so nice and cozy dropping in on your post/home! :) Love the changes you've made - doesn't matter what you do, it's all still pretty! And yay, finally pics of your bathroom!!! We have pedestal sinks in our bathrooms - mostly because they're both small bathrooms...and that was the best way to go! :) Anyway, lovely and fabulous pics as always!!! :)
ReplyDeleteXOXO's,
Jessie
primjillie..
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, how do you pull the mirrors off? using what? and do the break when doing so
LOVE, love, love the pink ruffly curtains Tausha! Your bathroom is just as nice, but I really love your cozy little tent! That's the cutest thing I've ever seen! Also, I've tried to bleach my SSS linen duvet and matching shams, and I can only lighten them up to an ivory. I looked up that Snowcap product thru Ace and cannot find it. Where can I get that, as I live in New York.
ReplyDeleteStephanie
Most of them are just glued in the back and maybe have a little trim at the bottom holding them. So we lifted and pried/pulled carefully so we wouldn't damage the wall behind it. We didn't have any of them break, luckily - they came off whole. We did 3 bathrooms this way. Different mirrors make such a difference!
ReplyDeleteI like you bathroom photos. I have horrible aspects to my bathroom and I just take close-ups from there. Beautiful post today.
ReplyDeleteWWW.SNOWCAPPRODUCTS.COM
ReplyDeleteI use a full washer load, and put 2 scoops....WHITE AS CAN BE !!
Everything is so beautiful once again! I do like the pink curtains, but I prefer white ones also. And I adore the look of your bathroom :)
ReplyDeleteI think Pink is perfect for your home...but love the white ones too. Pink does warm it up a bit for the cooler weather! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteSnow cap..I have never heard of it..I checked the site and it says its for outdoor projects etc..lol that is how you get your linens so white?? I would have never thought of it.. I tried to bleach my linen ssc duvet and shams and the lightes I got is a cream too..so snowcap will do the trick? and its safe for using indoors on linens?? lol xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteyes !! a friend told me about it, because i have well water, and my whites come out yellow all the time, i use it, and everything is so white... a must !!
ReplyDeleteLove the pink curtains for a change, it is nice to change things out for the season. But I love the tent!!! did you make or buy it, if you bought it where? Always love looking at your home. Laura Cottage and Broome
ReplyDeleteI not only adore your site I love all of the great comments and feedback. Now I must get snowcap!
ReplyDeleteLike Rachel I can see the curtains in lavender, beautiful!!
Please Do come and enter my Designer Pillow Giveaway!! (Also a great resource)

Loved reading the "chit chat" between you and Rachel!
ReplyDeleteI love those fleur de lis towels, I have them, too. I will have to try that whitening agent out! I bleach the heck out of everything and I'm sure it is not good to smell those chemicals! My mom said my kids perfume scent is bleach!
I think the pink is pretty and fun for a change but I am sure you will be going back to your white!
Does 60 degrees really feel cold?? :)
Love your photos, as always.
~Shanon
I keep trying to add some color and always come bAck to the white. The pink is pretty though. I love the white! Do you think the snowcap would work on linen slipcovers? the arms are so dingy and wont come clean! I never had this problem with the white cotton twill but the linen arms keep looking dirty after I wash them.
ReplyDeleteYeeeees ! Pink ! Yes § My favourite colour ! If you don't keep them just send them in France to me ! I love them soooo sooo much !
ReplyDeleteKisses from France
Like the pink ones, but what up with the things over the other windows? It looks like a dorm room!
ReplyDeleteI like the things you have, but I think you are overdoing it a bit. The only thing I can think of when I see you pictures is that it is too much fabric _everywhere_. Surely there is no way you can keep all that clean?
Hi! I think the pink curtains make it a bit lively and funky!! like a funky romantic look :) playful and pretty...hope you are doing well! have a great weekend N.
ReplyDeletexo+blessings,
Anne Marie
i do have a lot of linens, that is why i have the clothes racks, i hang all extra linens on them so they can stay clean .. and yes i do keep everything clean, all the time, i do a lot of washing !!! but not everything gets used all the time, but i love to change out linens all the time .
ReplyDeletewhat other windows are you talking about
The SnowCap works perfectly for me on all my whites, because i have well water, it is for rust... its what i have been using you do not need to use a lot. And you do not have to do for every wash only when needed
ReplyDeleteHi Tausha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for getting back with me about using the Rit dye and about the color of your wonderful leather couch!
I just read the last post from anonymous...i can't believe people have the nerve or time to simply complain like that...we all have different styles...we need to be accepting of that...she needs to find blogs/pics of what she likes then...
You have inspired many!
You have great taste...you are not "over doing" it! :)
Blessings,
Karissa
:)
aww thank you !! i know this is me and my home, if you do not like don't visit!! I love fabrics and linens, anyone who knows me .. i'm not asking them anything, im posting pictures...lol
ReplyDeletep.s I LOVE THE LOOK OF DORM ROOMS!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Tausha,
ReplyDeleteyou are in inspiration. I went to RA book signing in NYC last night. She is delightful in person. I bet you will be in her next book!!! I hope so, anyway.
Also, I have well water and, after 20 years, had no idea that is why I could never get my whites white!!! Thanks so much for the info. Is that stuff really safe in the washing machine??? It doesn't say so in their website.
All the best! Love your style.
Debbie
Exactly! You blog because you have a passion for your home and family! You don't need others approval! :)
ReplyDeleteAlways look forward to your posts! Such wonderful inspiration!
Have a great weekend!
Blessings,
Karissa
not sure, but someone who had the same problem told me to do that , all my husbands shirts were yellow, so i tried, and i could not believe how white everything came out, and it cleans your washer machine, i have been using it for years now, and i have not had any problems with my washer machine..
ReplyDeletei know if you do not want to use it, you can also use bleach for the Simply Shabby Chic Duvet, soak in water and bleach for a long time, and they come out white white too, if not you try it again. I'm not afraid to try things all the time using bleach and dye
ReplyDeleteHi Tausha, just wanted to thank you so much for sending me the name of the snowcap product website. I ended up calling their phone # and ordered some directly from Florida and they asked me who referred them to me. I told them I was referred by a blogger who uses this to whiten her linens and she was so thrilled that you referred me to their site that they want to send you a complimentary gift of Snowcap! Is it ok if I email your blog to them? Thanks so much, you are a doll!
ReplyDelete~ Stephanie
omg!! really how funny!! i love this stuff
ReplyDeleteThey look fabulous. Of course I do love pink.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll join us at Pink Saturday this weekend.
I just ordered the snowcap cant wait to see how it works on my slipcovers. When you love the white romantic decor it does take some time to keep everything clean, but its a labor of love. I have people come to my home and walk in and say, this sure is pretty but how do you keep it all clean. Its really not that hard just alittle extra time but so worth it. I love all your linens and ruffles. I have alittle iron antique baby bed in my bedroom filled with pillows,so I loved your post on the sun bed!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much !! It is a lot of work, doing laundry but i do it all the time with little ones anyways..lol When you use the snow cap use 2 scoops of it in a washer load, small or large .. depends how white you need it
ReplyDeleteRecently went to Rachel Ashwells online store and she had listed as her favs adorable velvet pumpkins. They were so expensive so I looked into making them. I made four yesterday of various sizes. It was so easy. I used white and gray velvet (so I still kept my pastel and white colors) but I could add alittle fall to my decor.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see !!!! i seen them and i am not a Halloween person, but loved them so much !!!
ReplyDeleteHi again Tausha!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you get your clothes racks from? I like the white one pictured in your last post.
Thanks!
Karissa :)
I think i bought it from Target, it was $9
ReplyDeleteHi. I think the pink is a nice change, I love change, and like you said, you could keep it up for the holidays, would look nice with your new glass ornaments. Thanks for sharing!! donna from De.
ReplyDeleteGreat! Thanks for letting me know about the rack! I checked online and don't think I saw it, I will go there this weekend...
ReplyDeleteOne last question and I will leave you alone, lol...
I checked urban outfitters site and can't seem to find the off white duvet with the ruffle (i believe you have it on your leather couch) ...I know you mentioned they have it in an off white...I was going to bleach it...
Do you know if they still have it? I saw the gray one...which I am going to get also...
Also, is urban outfitters where you get your duvet inserts? Do you like them?
Ok, done asking questions! :)
Thanks SO much!
:)
i'm not sure if they do have them...
ReplyDeletei think i did see them not to long ago.. as far as the inserts, no i bought mine along time ago...Bed bath and beyond..
Thanks! I found the one I asked about! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
:)
Hi again my friend! ;)
ReplyDeleteI had to LOL when I read that anon comment about your house and comparing it to a dorm room! LOL ..seriously that is just ridiculous.I could only wish my dorm room would have looked as beautiful as your home! I love the way you have draped your other curtains in your dining area..I was going to ask if they were the ssc ones at Target~ Keep doing what you're doing and inspiring!! xoxoxo Rachel
Tausha - your home is absolutely beautiful! So soft and feminine, light and airy. :) Thanks for the tip about Snow Cap, too. I'll be looking into that for sure. I have well water and need help! :)

pretty curtains Tausha...i always love your decorating! ~deb~
ReplyDeleteI like the pink curtains....a little pop of colour is lovely. You can change them back to white in the summer if you can;t decide.
ReplyDeleteI bought the same petticoat pillow as you from RA. I was surprised by the colour as online it looked like a ballet pin, but it was really a dusty rose.
Congrats on getting your house into a magazine..the photo shoot must have been fun.
Hi! Can you tell me what white paint you used throughout your home and where you got your fabulous sectional? Great info on Snowcapproducts! i washed my slips today and even with adding non-chlorine bleach they weren't bright and shiny white like I wanted. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteHi Tausha!
ReplyDeleteI love the artwork you have pictured upstairs...the black and white ballerina ones...may I ask where you got them?
Thanks! :)
Ohhhhhh Tausha, you never ever fail to make me drool with your photo's!!! Your home is so lovely and you really have the whole 'shabby' thing down without anything looking messy!
