this chair was in my garage for a long time . it was a green sage slipcovered chair. I did not like the color but the chair was so cozy, so i put some fabric over it, and tied bows all around the bottom for a Shabby chic look.
My two favorite books!!!
this fabric is Simply Shabby Chi blue gray duvet from Target, I have the same one on my bed, this was extra one i had.....i knew i would use somewhere one day...
I look forward to your blog everday, love the pictures!!!

It definitely looks like a chair I could pass out on :) Love your creativity w/ putting the sheets over it. And I'll have to check out that Prairie Style book you have there.
ReplyDeleteYes i always keep fresh flowers!!! Its a must ....I do not feel like my home would be right if i did not keep fresh flowers.. Maybe only one pack i will buy, but they last about 2 weeks, i make the most out of them.
ReplyDeleteI can decorate, and decorate and take a lot of pictures, but until the flowers are in the photos, then it looks complete to me . CRAZY !!!
I do not have a Garden I have 3 rose trees. We had a pool put in last summer so my garden went bye bye....I had one rose tree that bloomed 25 roses at a time, i loves it ..so now i get to start all over...

So comfy looking, I LOVE it! The color is perfect! I linked to you today in a post, just thought you should know :)
ReplyDeleteI adore that type of look, but for the life of me I can't figure out how you made that slip cover...did you make the cushion separate and then made the slip cover over-sized...whatever you did it is FaBuLoUs...just found your blog and loving every minute of it..thanx...Susan
ReplyDeleteFor Susan...Do not be afraid, use scissors... I simple cut around the pillows the just tied the fabric around with bows..then laid the rest of the fabric around the frame of the chair, and to make it tight,i ripped of some fabric from bottom and made bows. I love the way the fabrics looks when do that it gives it the tattered look. This was a duvet so i have two sides of fabric, but you can use any fabric is you have enough.
ReplyDeletelooks like the *perfect* shabby chic chair to me...love it! ~deb~
