Newly Restored..

I was just about to get rid of this piece , it was painted white and have had for several years... I thought to strip it down, and WHOLA!!! after stripping, several layers of paint, this was the end product.... now one of my Favorite pieces...I remember always painting furniture white, now I am stripping the white... adds so much character ...
Not exactly sure where i will put it yet, but i am sure she will be moved all about... until i find the perfect place.. kinda like it here, but may go in the barn..

I agree that Exposing the Layers of History of a piece is often what gives it the most Character and I have always Loved that Visual. The Horror for me is that once a piece is Aged to perfection like that gorgeous Armoire, someone might PAINT OVER IT! *LOL* But then, that is what happened over all those previous years wasn't it, that gave it such Character and a OOAK History in the first place as a Lovely piece of Painted Vintage or Antique Furniture! You my Friend are gutsy for stripping down some of your Treasures and taking the risk of what might be Exposed... good or bad, I Applaud you for that! Your Home always looks so Inviting and Serene.

Beauty all àround you.
I too Will strip down pieces to unearth its real beauty :)
I always end up selling these pieces and wishing I had held back to keep it. So perfectly imperfect this cabinet is and a perfect piece to hold onto. It's pieces like these that do not come along often, it's truly a piece to love.

Love the layers of linens and your relaxed feeling your home has romantically.
The white on white sweater is a perfect look! You wear it well :)

Looking forward to what next you inspire.

Hello my darling! The armoire turned stunning. I had a similar experience with an old cupboard and the new bedroom's headboard, they had a beautiful natural patina after taking away some coat of old paint =)
Have lovely days, my friend!
