I LOVE everything, you are so INSPIRING!!!! :) How did you lighten the oatmeal duvet? With lots of bleach? Also, where did you get your double ruffle bed skirt? Is it simply shabby chic? Thank you!!

So, are you in fifi's book?

Simply Me said...

Yes bleach, and i so glad i bleach it, its perfect, i still love the oatmeal, but white a little better. and i made the bed skirt i had a all ruffled layered shower curtain, so i had used the ruffles from the shower curtain to add the extra layer....

Ok so I'v been trying to bleach things but not having much luck with it. How much bleach do you use? i think that may be my prob.

Simply Me said...

Hi Brenna, If you are going to bleach out the duvet, put on small cycle and use the whole gallon or whatever it is from the grocery store, let sit for a few hours, the color came right out for me. But just check on it while it sits, put on soak cycle. My husband says im use to bleach..lol because he smells it and i dont.. I clean everything to with bleach

Your bed looks so peaceful and heavenly. I think I'd want to stay in bed all day, too. Lovely as always, Tausha. I have a little nephew your little guy's age and he does not care for flowers either. So funny! Have a wonderful weekend.

So nice chatting with you today Tausha.....I'll let you know about the wood floor choice when we make a decision.

Our beds are twins...so funny! I do have a Rachel Ashwell white ruched duvet from her old line before she did the Simply Shabby Chic for Target. I think that the quality of the higher priced line she puts out holds up well in the long run.

So, the big question is..... How do you get your husband to go along with the shabby look??

Simply Me said...

thats funny, he does not even care what i do, he loves everything.. really !

shabbykelly said...

I just got remarried and He doesn't care how I decorate either! He just doesn't want anything on the kitchen counter's(he used to be a chef). He is so sweet! His son(he's 16) says"oh, that is so shabby!" He even likes to go antiquing with me :)

Simply Me said...

That's great !!! My oldest son teases me too, he is 16 too. Kids are great uh !

Hola Tausha, I´ve got today all my simply shabby chic stuff, all soooo beautiful, and I was just going to ask you about bleaching the oatmeal color but saw your asnwer up, maybe I´ll do it too but not before I use them like they are to see how they look. The misty rose comforter is so lovely, more than I expected to and also got the hydrangea duvet cover, not opened it yet. I would like to have also your three ruffles sheets, where did you get them??
Did you bleach the blue linen duvets too, I like their color and I got three of them, well, my husband brought me huge amount of everything, also some sheet with one rufle but they didn´t have another colors except for pink, lovely too!!!
Well, telling you again how much you have inspired me... and this post is just SOOOO LOVELY!!!!
hugs dear
