My new find, a beautiful 1940's handmade is what i was told, Vintage Prom Dress...Adorable!!

i don't know what it is about when i find a Vintage Prom Dress that i love so much, but mostly just there pure Beauty, and i also wonder who wore it .  I only collect them, i do not wear them. And i found a PINK one!!
this dress i wear!! its New,  Check out the ruffles..

    Maybe because they are so perfectly pretty and pretend to be nothing other than that, maybe because once the girl who was going to wear the dress was filled with romance, and wishes, and crushes, and kisses, and dreams, and sweetness and drama, and the dresses hold all that intense, hopeful, youthful energy ...
    maybe that's why you like them... you pick up on that...

    its amazing how times have changed
    when I worked in vintage stores ages ago these dresses were always on the $5 racks, we couldn't give them away.
    LOL, now they are the most sought after.
